Foundational Music Course
The Fearless (ages 4 -6)
A
holistic approach, this course aims to develop the whole child and to
lay a solid musical foundation through fun and participative
exploration in the basic elements of music, a wide range of musical
instruments, and music literacy. Through exposure in a wide
variety of musical activities with emphasis on listening skills,
children will not only develop strong musical foundation, foremost,
they will be happy, vibrant, responsive, able to focus, confident and
creative. Children will gain positive experiences and be empowered
to further develop their musicality based on individual inclination and
interests.
Guitar, Drum & Piano Courses
Acoustic Guitar
Learn to play your favourite
songs on the portable acoustic guitar – including pop, oldies and
ballads. Students learn simplified chords and strumming rhythms to
apply in playing songs of different genres. Structured to be quick to
pick up for everyone from 6 to 80 years old, the course enables you to
play guitar for personal enjoyment, to entertain friends and family,
and even to perform for that special someone.
Worship Acoustic Guitar
Take the first step towards
playing Christian praise songs on the acoustic guitar. Learn
simplified chords and strumming rhythms to play songs ranging from
hymns to Hillsongs®. Structured to be quick to pick up for everyone
from 6 to 80 years old, this course enables you to play guitar for
personal devotion, for your small group time, and for worship leading.
Electric guitar
For students who already has
basic guitar skills, this course teaches you power chords and lead
lines on the electric guitar. Songs covered range from pop-rock to
blues to ballads, and skills can be applied in any settings from pop
bands, rock bands, to church worship teams. Students will also learn to
use effect pedals through this course. Develop your own style to play
guitar lines and motifs that are meaningful and musical, be it with
twenty notes... or two.
Bass guitar
For students with basic guitar
skills, this course develops the “feel” of a bass guitarist
in you. Learn basic scale patterns, rhythms, inversions and other
skills that enables you to lock in a groove with drummers, guitarists
and keyboardists. Students can choose to learn songs of their favourite
genre including pop, rock, hip-hop, ballads and Christian praise and

Drum
Pick up basic drum techniques
to play songs ranging from modern pop, rock, and ballads on a basic
drum kit. Skills covered include basic stick control and hands-feet
coordination to enable you to play beats and fills. Structured to be
quick to pick up for students from ages 6 to 80, this course prepares
you to play drums in your own band, in church, or just for personal
enjoyment.
Adult Pop Piano
Developed to ignite that innate
passion for music in each of us, this Pop Piano course aims to put
music back in your life in an exciting yet achievable way. Based
on chord approach, with emphasis on concepts of melody, harmony and
rhythm, you will learn to play pop songs from lead sheets. As you
learn the techniques, you will be empowered and therefore encouraged to
improvise. With no other expectation except to enjoy and instill a
passion for the piano, lessons will be conducted in a relaxed and
friendly setting with opportunities for jamming and learning from other
students and instructors!
Junior Pop Piano
Embracing the belief that music
is, foremost, for enjoyment and leisure, this course aims to empower
children with attainable skills right from the beginning so that they
will be self-motivated to pursue further. A holistic approach,
this course is about laying a solid foundation for good musicianship
rather than purely technique-oriented. Presenting from a child’s
perspective and level, music theory is more caught then
taught. Learning and applying the usually dry and
boring music theory is now alive and fun!
Band Dynamics
Come as a band (or just a couple of musicians to jam), to our
well-equipped music room for a session on band dynamics. While
you play your favourite songs, get tips and insights into how to sound
better from an experienced musician and band leader. Think of it
as more than a fun jamming session (or serious music rehearsal) in a
studio - you will also be getting expert advice on how to play your
individual instruments to achieve band cohesiveness. Equipment
provided include a drum set, audio system for 2 microphones and
acoustic guitar, piano keyboard, bass guitar amp, and electric guitar
amp.
